The way she quilts. The poems are also rather short, which is also explained in another poem by Waheed: How, for the duration of the time I'm spent reading, I'm transported to a place of calm, of awe, of joy. It is pages long, but I assure you you are going to fly through it. TBH, yeah, Sa,t say they were my favorite part. Now to find some good literature. Feel it, and in a small way, you will have lived it.
Savor it, like your first kiss. This book is that Hindi phrase. Only, it was Lady Wqheed smiling at me and blessing me with what my friends know I was looking for.

This was extremely powerful and moving. I respect their experiences and lives as WoC. For anyone - in particular people of color or more feminine people - who want a voice that articulates our pain, our anger, and our path to wholeness, Salt may fit your heart well.
Some of my favourites included african american ii, ivory, runaway, translation white noise, stories, the bastard construct, power, mirror work, anger, reparations, white guilt, waherd, island, treasonetc. I have added punctuations to all of the quotes bcz the poems themselves are devoid of them and I wanted to make them more readable in my review.
There is so much waneed unadulterated heart in Salt. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. This came at the perfect time for me to read and I cannot thank the writer enough.

I wahedd feel like there's something really sad in expecting that. Undoubtedly, I adore this book. I must say, there were a handful of pieces that were good, but most of her poems were lacking deeper meaning.
