I like Rawrz's name. There are a couple songs that sound like improved leftovers from This Addiction "Luciferian Blues," "Olivia". It feels like while Dan keeps progressing as a song writer, Skiba is stuck in 01 Digging: Jetty Bones - Old Women. To Be Everywhere Is to Be. Earlier this year Matt put out an e.

There are plenty of synthesizer sounds to be heard throughout, but they are pushed to the forefront this time around and it pays off.
The album basically consists of eight bouncy pop-punk songs and one acoustic ballad ending track. I have to give credit where credit is due; Skiba is amazing at writing catchy pop-punk songs that will no doubt have many pop-punk teenyboppers chanting along with him.

However, the songs are heavily weighed down by taking what should be stripped down pop-punk songs and adding kitschy effects and synth. Every once in a while, you could hear an improvised fill, but for the most part he takes a step back to let Matt shine. This album is excellent for what it is. As a huge fan of Hunter's bass playing with AFI, I was disappointed to hear his skill kept to a minimum. However, Babylon is too underground to be played on the radio and too tainted by corny pop flourishes to obtain any sort of underground support.

It seems to be either a song about being alone or about being a killer, maybe both. The lyrics are sekretx and the guitar tones aren't much of a stretch from the Trio's sound. Friday, May 18, at 2: Right away, it blasts off with the amazing one-two punch of "Voices" and "All Fall Down. Now that that's out of the way, lets get down to Babylon. I like Rawrz's name. Heavy emphasis on try. Matt Skiba and the Sekrets Babylon 2. Jetty Bones - Old Women. Nice review, want to hear this.
It sounds like Alkaline Trio. It wouldn't be such a big deal if this hadn't been touted as a super-group of sorts.
